Hello, my name is Heidi Livingston. As a working mother of three teenagers, I know how precious time can be. So, thank you for giving me some of your precious time in reading my Biography.
When I was in high school, my life course was forever changed when I was severely injured in an automobile collision, resulting in multiple surgeries. I witnessed firsthand how important a good attorney is in advocating for the injured and this drives in representing my clients.
I attended the University of Miami School of Law, where I won the school’s Moot Court Competition, worked as editor on the University of Miami Business Law Journal, and interned with the Honorable Ted E. Bandstra, a United States Magistrate Judge. However, my favorite activity was serving as a volunteer and intern for Children and Family Service where I saw firsthand how much an attorney who listens to a client’s needs can really change a life forever.
After graduating law school, I went to work for a medical malpractice defense firm. During this time, I represented large insurance companies and learned the ways they think, operate, and defend themselves against the injured. My caseload focused mostly on commercial auto and truck accidents, along with slip and falls for major corporations.
After gaining years of experience, I asked myself where I could do the greatest good for the people that mattered. I was reminded of the accident I went through in high school and knew it was time to use my skillset to help those in similar situations. One thing stood out, Dan Newlin’s firm was the best place to have the opportunity to give back and help people.
My years of experience defending the interests of insurance companies have placed me in the position to effectively and efficiently represent injury victims.
