Meet Our Attorneys
Hello, my name is Chris Abercrombie. I appreciate your time and interest in learning more about me. I was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida, as the youngest in a close-knit and loving family. From an early age, my parents instilled in me the values of hard work, humility, empathy, and service to others—principles that continue to guide both my life and legal career.
As a competitive athlete growing up, I played college baseball before shifting my focus fully to academics with the goal of becoming an attorney. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of West Florida and then moved to the Tampa Bay area to attend Stetson University College of Law—a decision that proved to be truly life-changing. Not only did I receive a world-class legal education, but I also met my wife, the love of my life, on the very first day of orientation. Since then, we’ve traveled the world together and are now embracing life’s greatest adventure: raising our son.
During law school, I gained meaningful experience as a guardian ad litem, a certified legal intern with the State Attorney’s Office, and a part-time legal assistant. I also volunteered as a Pop Warner football coach, finding joy in mentoring young athletes and giving back to the community. Each of these roles allowed me to put my core values into practice—especially empathy, leadership, and service.
After graduating, I spent several years representing Fortune 500 companies, followed by over seven years defending a nationwide insurance company. That chapter of my career gave me valuable insight into how insurance companies operate—an insider’s perspective I now use to protect and advocate for the injured. I understand how the other side thinks, and I know how to fight back effectively and strategically.
Today, I’m proud to serve as an attorney with Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys, where I combine my legal experience with my personal mission: helping people through some of the most difficult times in their lives. I believe every client deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and relentless dedication—and I am honored to stand up for those who need a strong advocate in their corner.
If you’ve been injured and aren’t sure where to turn, I’m here for you. I’ll be by your side every step of the way.
