Meet Our Attorneys
I was born and raised in Florida. Following my 1995 graduation from Florida State University, I was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps, serving on active duty and presently in the Reserve. I’m a Lieutenant Colonel and an M1A1 Tank Officer currently serving as the Commanding Officer of 4th Tank Battalion, 4th Marine Division, one of the largest armor battalions in the Department of Defense. In the course of having the privilege of serving with our nation’s Marines, I’ve deployed to places such as Bosnia Herzegovina and numerous times throughout Africa.
In 2002, after my transfer into the Selected Marine Corps Reserve, I enrolled at the University of Florida where I completed a Master of Science in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation. My graduate work involved capturing, collaring and tracking Florida black bears. After graduate school, I deployed to Djibouti, Africa for eight months with the Marine Corps.
Upon my return, I completed my law degree at the University of Florida and subsequently served as an Assistant State Attorney for the Eighth Circuit in Gainesville. I then worked in private practice as a civil litigator with a small firm before accepting a position as a Claims and Litigation Coordinator with UF and Shands Teaching Hospital. I then returned to private practice with one of Florida’s most highly regarded defense firms and represented auto insurance companies and their insureds.
Joining a firm as well respected as Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys has presented a unique opportunity to continue to build on my dedication to service, drawing on years of professional experience in litigation and insurance defense, and work with a firm that has one goal: outstanding representation of you, the client.
I look forward to the opportunity to serve you and bring your case to a successful and satisfactory resolution.
