Meet Our Attorneys
Thank you for taking the time to read my biography. My name is Ali Kamalzadeh, and I’m a litigation attorney for Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys. I am married with three boys; we are all proud Florida natives. My wife has owned and operated her own business for over a decade in the Central Florida area and together we are very active in our community. Outside of the office, I enjoy time with my family and working on whatever house projects my wife can imagine.
In terms of my legal career, it can be defined by my desire to seek justice for those in need. Prior to joining Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys, I spent eight years working for the Office of the Federal Defender during and immediately after law school, representing indigent clients. My first four years at the Federal Defender were as an appellate attorney, where I worked tirelessly to fight for my clients before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. As an appellate attorney, I briefed and argued cases before the Eleventh Circuit and obtained reversals, had two sentence commutations granted by the President of the United States, and handled over a dozen post-conviction hearings, securing rare relief for three clients. I later joined the trial division, where we won an acquittal, saving our client from a mandatory minimum sentence of fifteen years, among many other achievements and successes.
Outside of the courtroom, I have dedicated myself to community service. While in Law School, I assisted with foreclosure defense at the Seminole County Bar Association Legal Aid Society (SCBALAS) and successfully negotiated mortgage modifications for clients as a certified legal intern. I served as a Volunteer Income Tax Assistant and organized SCBALAS’s first clinic to assist low-income residents prepare and file their tax returns for free. While working for the Office of the Federal Defender, I volunteered as co-counsel for the Intensive Re-Entry Program for nearly six years and helped re-integrate clients on federal supervision into the community.
For nearly a decade, I have advocated vigorously for my clients in and outside the courtroom. Now, as a team member of Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys, I zealously represent our clients injured through no fault of their own seek justice.
If you or a loved one have been involved in a vehicle collision, some other personal injury matter, or lost a loved one due to the careless conduct of another, I make this promise to you: I will work tirelessly, day and night, aggressively litigating your case to ensure justice is served.
