Hello, my name is Kevin Russell, Jr. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me.
Growing up, I knew I wanted to help others in some form or another and being an attorney has always been a lifelong goal of mine. As an alumnus of Florida A&M College of Law, being able to work here at Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys allowed me to realize that I could fulfill both goals right here in Central Florida.
Originally from Markham, Illinois – a small suburb on Chicago’s southside – I attended Robert Morris University (RMU) on both athletic and academic scholarships. During my undergraduate studies, I completed an internship with one of the largest hospitality companies in the world. It was there that my love for customer service and helping others blossomed. I graduated with my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration through the RMU Dual Enrollment Program.
Following graduation, I moved across the country to Orlando to continue my work in hospitality. While I was presented with opportunities and lessons that I carry with me in my work today, I was involved in several auto accidents that required me to hire an attorney for representation for my injuries.
These accidents, as well as the attorney I worked with, inspired me to push harder towards my goal of being an attorney and provided me with an area of law I would be interested in practicing. After my first semester of law school, I began working at Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys as a Legal Assistant. The guidance I received from the Firm, allowed me to gain experience working with personal injury cases while also attending law school at night.
Though this was challenging at even the best of times, the immense support I received from our amazing firm made it clear that this place and this team is where I wanted to be when I graduated and passed the Bar Exam. I am blessed & fortunate to now call myself an Attorney and to call Dan Newlin Injury Attorneys my home, where I can advocate for accident victims and help them get justice for their injuries, just as my attorney did for me years ago.
