Meet Our Attorneys
Hello, my name is Deborah O’Brien and I appreciate you taking time to read my biography. I was raised right here in Central Florida and have spent my entire 20+ year legal career working as hard as I can for the people of this great community. I promise to do the same for you if you are a victim of someone else’s negligence.
My work ethic, competitive nature and desire to win comes from my parents. They built a small woodworking business from the ground up. It had its ups and downs every day but, ultimately, the long hours were worth it. People came to my family for help with building their homes or fixing a cherished piece of furniture. Although I chose the law, instead of the family business, I learned at any early age, the difference I could make in my neighbors’ lives.
I am proud that I am the first in my family to graduate college. After achieving high honors at the University of Florida, I earned a scholarship to attend law school at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law, where I received my law degree with honors. While in law school, I was selected for a prestigious internship with a federal judge. That experience taught me how the law can truly help injured victims, at the same time, showing me that without the most knowledgeable and aggressive lawyer, people never receive true justice.
For many years after my internship, I represented businesses; some as small as my family’s business; some were the largest in the country. Those companies asked me to handle their auto and trucking accidents, slip and falls and wrongful death cases. While this work was satisfying, I always wanted an opportunity to return to representing individuals – where I knew that my abilities would truly make a difference. I wanted to use my experience from working on thousands of cases with hundreds of insurance adjusters to help bring justice to my injured client.
When Dan called and asked me to bring my decades of experience resolving personal injury cases, in Central Florida, to the Firm, I immediately accepted. When I work on your case, please know that I have your back and will never give up until we win your case. If you’ve been involved in an accident or lost a loved one due to the careless conduct of another, I will be personally honored to work hard to bring you and your family the justice you deserve.
